Christmas ParadeThe Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and Discover Plymouth are currently seeking entries for the 2016 Christmas Parade of Light on Saturday, November 26th.   This year’s theme is “Home for the Holidays.”

The parade through downtown Plymouth steps off at 6 p.m. and will travel south on Michigan Street as a prelude to city’s Christmas Tree Lighting.

Applications are now available on the Plymouth Chambers of Commerce website for floats and units to participate in the parade.  There is NO COST!  The committee is looking for floats, vehicles and walking units to participate.  There is a requirement that floats, vehicles and walkers be lighted with generators or other power sources.

Because the parade is in the evening they request no throwing of candy or items from the floats or being passed out by walkers.

At the conclusion of the lighted Christmas parade, Santa will arrive on a Plymouth Fire Truck and make his way to the Marshall County Museum where he will greet kids for a quick chat and photo opt.  Fireworks are expected to light up the sky and the Christmas Light Show at River Park Square will be unveiled.
