local News_2The Marshall County Commissioners have decided to address the space problem that has been plaguing the Prosecutor’s Department for more than two years.

During the meeting on Monday, Commissioner Kurt Garner recommended entering into a long term contract with the Community Resource Center to move the Health Department into the lower lever.  He indicated the monthly fee would be $2,000 and includes utilities and maintenance costs.

Garner estimated construction costs at $100,000 to make the space workable for the health department.  It was stated that the county would pay the construction cost with funds the Umbaugh report showed are available in the Health Department budget.

A motion was made to proceed with Kurt Garner acting as the liaison on the project with the Health Department and the Community Resource Center.
