The Marshall County Council approved requests from three department heads to fill vacancies.
County Prosecutor Nelson Chipman three deputy prosecutors, one paid by the state and two paid through local funds. He has a recent vacancy and was granted permission to fill the position.
Wes Burden from the County Health Department told the council his full-time Public Health nurse is leaving this Friday. She had been seeking a part-time position to subsidize her salary and the company offered her a better paying full time position. Members of the council unanimously approved the request to replace the Public Health Nurse.
The final vacancy is in the Marshall County Probation Department. Director, Mary Jane Walsworth said the employee who serves as the home based therapist has turned in her resignation affective February 4th. With a masters in social work, Walsworth said, “I will attempt to replace her.” The council approved her request.
