The Marshall County Council will meet Monday morning at 9 in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.
Agenda for their meeting includes Sheriff Matt Hassel who will present the Jail Commissary Report and present a plan to update the IRecord software system used in the jail interrogation room. The proposal includes adding new HD cameras with more appropriate angles, the addition of a second interrogation room with the new cameras and cameras and recording equipment in the breathalyzer room with the Prosecutor’s Office having “live time” access to the interviewing process. The proposal also includes using DTF funds for a portion of the cost with the Sheriff and the Prosecutor splitting the remaining cost. The upgrade is just over $18,000.
Mary Jane Walsworth, Head of the Marshall County Probation Department will seek approval to replace the receptionist in her office while County Clerk, Deb VanDeMark is also seeking a personnel replacement for her department.
Also on the agenda of the County Council meeting is additional appropriation requests and transfers.
The meeting is open to the public.
