CMA_logoCULVER – Under Armour will be the main supplier of performance apparel and footwear for Culver Academies under an agreement between the company and the college preparatory boarding school.

The affiliation signals Under Armour’s commitment into the prep/high school athletic market. Culver Academies becomes the second educational institution in northern Indiana to enter into such an agreement with the company. The relationship developed through the two entities’ work with the University of Notre Dame.

“The relationship between Under Armour and Notre Dame has set a standard,” Head of Schools Jim Power said. “We are pleased to have an outstanding partnership with such a great company. This program will definitely benefit our student-athletes, and the Culver community as a whole, in so many ways.”

The agreement allows Culver Academies to work with Under Armour supplier, Team Sports, Toledo, Ohio, in the selection of game-day uniforms, training gear, outerwear, casual wear, and footwear. Under Armour clothing will also be available to Culver’s students, faculty/staff, parents, and 19,000 alumni worldwide through the school’s retail outlets.

Culver Educational Foundation Trustee and the Chairman and CEO of Wilcox Financial/Wilcox Sports Management, Mike Wilcox, who helped negotiate the agreement, said, “Kudos to Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank and his team for being so responsive to Culver Academies and our students. We are delighted to partner with them at this level.”

Part of the Culver/Under Armour agreement includes the landmark “UNDENIABLE” program for Culver’s nationally ranked prep lacrosse team. Starting this spring, the Eagles will be completely outfitted in Under Armour gear.  Twelve-plus elite prep/high school lacrosse programs in the country enjoy this arrangement.

Culver Academies offers 35 varsity sports and five equestrian sports for its 814 students. The agreement calls for Under Armour items to be phased in as the teams replace uniforms and training gear. All  sportswear will also carry the Under Armour logo. The more than 1,400 students and counselors for Culver Summer Schools & Camps will also be outfitted in Under Armour recreational performance gear.
