beaten-and-robbedAbout 7 Thursday evening, May 26 the Plymouth Police Department received a call of a battery victim that was being treated at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth.

Officers spoke to the victim who told them he had been walking his dog on the Greenway Trail behind Riverside Intermediate School when a man came out of the wooded area.

This suspect was wearing a helmet and carrying a baseball bat. The male suspect struck the victim in the head with the bat and the victim fell to the ground. Two other male subjects then proceeded to punch and kick him. One of the suspects then took the victim’s wallet out of his pocket and stole it.

The victim was threatened and told to remain on the ground and the three suspects ran toward the rear of Riverside School where they got into a green Ford pickup truck and left the area.

The victim was released from the hospital later Thursday night.’
