On Wednesday, at 1:43 a.m. Marshall County Sheriff’s department received a call in regarding a one vehicle personal injury acciden t at SR 8 west of Upas Road. Officers responded to the scene locating a gray Jeep that had traveled off the north side of SR 8 and struck a tree head on. The vehicle’s driver – identified as Jessica M. Bean of Plymouth had to be extricated from the vehicle. Bean was transported by Plymouth EMS to the Plymouth airport where she was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Preliminary investigation revealed that alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.
