Crash_North Plum Street_1Plymouth Police Officers were dispatched to 223 North Plum Street Monday evening just before 9 for an unwanted guest who was intoxicated and who may be armed with a handgun.

Officer Emenhiser arrived on the scene and ordered 35 year old David R. Erdelyi of Elkhart to stop.  Erdelyi got into his vehicle and started driving north on Plum Street at a high rate of speed.  Attempting to pull him over, Officer Emenhiser turned on his lights and siren and the suspect failed to stop.  He disregarded 4 stop signs and ended up crashing into a utility pole, breaking the pole and rolled the SUV he was in near the Delmonte Plant.

Crash_North Plum Street_2David Erdelyi was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

He has been charged with Resisting and several other misdemeanor charges.
