County Police Officer Jordan Rans investigated a single vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon about 1:30 that sent a Fort Wayne man to Parkview Hospital via Samaritan Medical Helicopter.
A 2009 Toyota Matrix driven by 23 year old Hsar Wah was traveling north on State Road 331, south of 5th Road when he encountered slick and snow covered roadway. The vehicle left the road on the east side of State Road 331 and struck a ditch, wire fence, and a NIPSCO utility pole.
The driver was pinned inside and had to be extricated by the Bremen Fire Department. The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by The Bremen Police Department, Indiana State Police, Bremen Fire and EMS, Samaritan Medical Helicopter, and Lyon’s Wrecker Service.
Wah sustained a broken leg in the crash.
