On Friday afternoon, June 17, just before 3 the Fulton County 911 Center dispatched emergency personnel to a personal injury accident in the southbound lanes of US 31 at the intersection with CR450N.
The preliminary investigation determined that a 2005 Ford Pick up truck driven by Scott Barber, 31 of Macy was west bound on 450N and failed to yield to southbound traffic on US 31. As a result Barber’s vehicle collided with a 2016 Nissan SUV driven by Melinda S. McGovern, 45, of Granger.
Passengers in the Barber vehicle, Christopher McVay ,31 of Rochester and Tiffany Eskridge 26 of Rochester were thrown from the vehicle.
There were two minor children in the McGovern vehicle.
Both drivers and all passengers were flown to Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne with non life threatening injuries.
This crash is still under investigation
Assisting at the Scene were Lutheran EMS, the Rochester Fire Department, Samaratin 1 and 2 , Lutheran Air, the Indiana State Police and Fulton County Sheriff’s Department.
