The Plymouth JV traveled to Legacy Hills in Laporte and came home runner up in a field of 11 scoring teams at the Westville Invitational.  Today’s team total of 359 shattered our season best!  Several guys stepped up today in cold, windy, and tough scoring conditions.  Even more outstanding was this tournament featured a mix of Varsity, JV, and individuals.  Boone Grove’s Varsity took home top honors.
* Bryce Carmichael 88
Grant Clady 89
* Chapman Yoder 90
* Caleb Gawronski 92

I was most proud of our three freshman (*) who posted their career best in this our final JV invitational of 2016.
The Plymouth Varsity played at Mystic Hills early Saturday morning in the 54th annual CMA Invitiational.  20mph winds, mid 40 temps, and accumulating sleet forced stoppage of play at the midway point.  Results of the day we’re compromised as the shotgun start and stoppage meant teams didn’t play the same holes to validate a true winner or score.  Our team started on Hole #10 and completed the entire back nine – the tougher par side – tougher scoring holes.  I was proud of our guys fine play in the terrible conditions as rain turned to accumulating sleet late in the round.  Hard to putt on a green of frozen peas.  Our MVP today by a long shot was Quentin Cupka.  Q played a vital role keeping the players focused, inspired, and motivated!  As a squad our players shot a season best 159.  Quentin’s optimism played a huge role in our score today!
Both squads are improving nicely coming down the stretch of NLC play.  Next up is a trip to Bent Oak in Elkhart where we battle the Northridge Raiders and Concord Minutemen on Tuesday.
