Neal_HeackThe trial of former Marshall County Highway Superintendent, Neal Haeck, is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, March 22. A Grand Jury handed down an indictment in September, 2012.

According to court records, Haeck has been charged with Theft D Felony. The charge stems from allegations that Haeck knowingly and intentionally exerted unauthorized control over government property in the amount of approximately $12,351.41 during 2012 and 2013.

The allegation surrounds the sale of scrap metal.

The Prosecutor’s Office strongly emphasizes that an indictment is only an allegation and Haeck is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law before a judge and jury of his peers.
