When asked what made Ancilla the right choice for her, Heard mentioned the three visits to campus that made her feel more comfortable.

“I am excited that Destiny has decided to become a part of the Ancilla softball family,” began Ancilla coach Scott Reese. “She is a tremendous hitter who has some pop at the plate and can also hit for average. I am also impressed with her soft hands and strong throws from third base. I am looking forward to seeing her development during her two years here.”

Destiny is the daughter of Gary and Melanie Heard and is planning on pursuing degrees in Criminal Justice and Secondary Education while at Ancilla.
