Mike HiteThe Marshall County Blueberry Festival Parade Committee is proud to announce that Mike Hite, Plymouth Park Department Superintendent has been named Parade Marshal of the 50th Blueberry Labor Day Parade.

Mike Hite is the son of Alice and the late Dale Hite. With five brothers and sisters, Vickie, Vince, Gina, Fran and Stan, the Hite family has been a staple in the Plymouth Community for many years. Mike is a 1980 graduate of Plymouth High School. He continued his education at Albion College in Michigan where he played football and baseball. In 1988 Mike married his high school sweetheart, Vicki (Hassell) Hite. Vicki is a beloved first grade teacher at Menominee Elementary. Mike and Vicki’s daughter, Caitlin (Hite) Faulstich and her husband Byron Faulstich gave them the greatest gift ever in October of last year…their pride and joy, granddaughter Braelynn.

Mike became the Superintendent of the Plymouth Park Department in 2004. Throughout his tenure there have been many changes and wonderful additions to the Park Department. The completion of Phase I of the Greenway Trail, the addition and development of River Park Square and the addition of Freedom Park, just to name a few. Mike would like to thank Mayor Senter and the Plymouth Park Board for the support he has received the last 12 years. Also, Mike would like to thank the Marshall County Blueberry Festival Board Members and volunteers for all of their hard work. The Park Department and the Blueberry Festival are lucky to have such a good relationship. There are grand plans in the works for the future of the Park Department and Mike is looking forward to being a part of it for many years to come!
