Hoosier Valley Railroad_cancelled tripAccording to the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum website, they regretfully informed their loyal passengers that they’ve been forced to cancel all trips to LaCrosse for the foreseeable future. This cancellation is due to an on-going legal dispute over control of the railroad line owned by the Town of North Judson and operated by the Chesapeake & Indiana Railroad.

While the Hoosier Valley Railroad didn’t go into the particulars of the legal battle they felt it was important to make their passengers aware of the situation.   Knowing that the LaCrosse excursions are extremely popular, the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum apologized for any inconvenience the cancellations may cause.

For the time being, they are replacing the 2:00 pm LaCrosse trip with a shortened trip to English Lake. The 12:30 pm trip to English Lake will remain unchanged. Passengers who already purchased tickets for any LaCrosse trip should contact the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum for a refund.
