Surrounded by family and fellow legislators in the Indiana House Chamber, member-elect Jack Jordan (R-Bremen) took the oath of office today, officially becoming the state representative of House District 17.
Jordan was sworn in by Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush and he was elected to fill the seat vacated by Tim Harman.
“I look forward to the upcoming session where my focus will be not only supporting a balanced state budget, but also exploring educational opportunities that will help our Hoosier children continue to develop and learn,” Jordan said. “I will work with fellow representatives to find ways to best serve our already thriving community.”
A seventh-generation resident of Marshall County, Jordan grew up on a small farm in the Bremen area. He graduated from Bremen High School and earned degrees from Purdue University, Liberty University, Krannert School of Management at Purdue University and Mendoza College of Business at University of Notre Dame. He and his spouse, Dr. Hope Jordan, are the parents of Jack Jordan and Hope Amor, who is married to Nick Amor. Jordan is involved in the Marshall County Community Foundation, Nappanee Missionary Church and is a lifetime “All-American” John Purdue Club member.
