DONALDSON, IN – The Ancilla College Women’s Basketball team was defeated by Muskegon Community College, 62-58, Wednesday night bringing their record to 16-11 overall and 6-8 in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) conference.

Bianca Maxwell from London, England pulled a double-double putting up 11 points and pulling down 15 rebounds. Sophomore, Khadijah Moore led all scoring for the night with 16 points and Jasmine Love added 14 points for the Chargers.

“I was really proud of how we grinded it out with this team to give ourselves a chance. That is something we have struggled with this year and Muskegon is a grind it out team in general,” said Tom Robbins, head coach for the Chargers. “To do that with them showed marked improvement on our part. In the end though, we had too many mental errors on the offensive end to get the win. This was noticeable within the last two minutes, but we also had several mental miscues earlier in the game which weren’t as noticeable.”

Ancilla will be on the road Monday at Jackson College. Game time is 5:30p.m. The team will return home on Wednesday, February 24th for their last regular season game against Lansing Community College. Tip-off is 5:30p.m.
