BENTON HARBOR, MI – The Ancilla College softball team picked up a sweep to begin their final week of regular season action as they beat Lake Michigan College 7-2 and 10-5.

 

Game one saw Abbey Renner give up just one earned run on three hits and striking out nine for the complete game victory. Morgan Lippens, Brittany Probasco, and Tehya Henry had two hits each for the Chargers. Lippens and Probasco each had two RBI, as well.

 

Renner picked up the win in four innings of relief in game two. Allena McElfresh allowed just two runs on five hits in three innings of work to start the game. McElfresh, Renner, and Kayte Miller picked up three hits each for the Chargers and Henry added two hits to the cause. McElfresh led Ancilla with three RBI, while Probasco, Renner, and Miller added two RBI each.

 

Ancilla hits the road to take on NJCAA #20 Muskegon Community College at 3:00 tomorrow, May 5. They finish their regular season at home at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 7. Sophomore Day festivities will begin at 2:30 p.m.
