Li'l AbnerArgos High School proudly presents the musical comedy “Li’l Abner” this Friday and Saturday, April 8th and 9th in the Argos High School Auditorium.  Showtime is 7:30 p.m.; doors open at 7:00.  General admission tickets are $6.00 and are available in the high school main office during school hours and available at the door.

This story is base on the cartoon comic strip “Li’l Abner”, created by Al Capp and is a fantastical journey taken by the residents of the fictional town of Dogpatch, USA to save their town from being “blown off the face of the earth”, after being declared the most unnecessary town in the whole country; At the same time, comedic situations occur as Daisy Mae tries to arrange catching Li’l Abner Yokum on Sadie Haskins day to finally get married to him, the one she loves.

Directed by Thomas Boys, with the support of the high school music department, many volunteers and an amazingly dedicated cast, this production promises to be a family-friendly, fun-filled evening of music, dancing and laughter.  Please come support the very ‘necessary’ Performing Arts program at Argos High School this weekend.
