Jasper Stone Band # 2Local worship band Jasper Stone announced recently that they will release their second album, Boundless, on May 21.   The seven member band from Plymouth will celebrate with a free release concert at 7:30pm on the 21st at Plymouth Wesleyan Church.  Guest speaker Garrett Howell of Awaken Ministries in Marion will also be sharing.

“We expect that night to be a time of worship, celebrating God’s goodness to us.  Our heart is to share His love through our music,” said Heather Delp, lead vocalist, and first-time songwriter on this album.   “Our lyrics are intentionally meant to provoke the listener to think about God’s truth and spur them on to live in the hope of Christ,” said Josh Casper, lead guitar, “while musically, we paint the backdrop of the message with melodic verses and instrumentals.”

All twelve of the tracks on the new album were written by members of the band, with great focus on God’s boundless love, and the journey of the Christian life.   Most songs are inspired directly from scripture.  If you enjoyed “Rock and Redeemer” from the band’s first album of the same name, you will love songs like “Burn the Ships”, a bold rock anthem, and “Press On”, a blues-rock tune with a driving bass and soaring vocals.   Ballads like “Lamb of God” and “Ready” go straight to the heart of worship.

Besides lead vocals by Delp and Christen Ellis, the band introduces the voice of Joel Hartung, a guitarist who shares his heart with three new songs.   Other members include Jerry Cox (bass and background vocals), Marc Greenawalt (drums), and Dave Portteus (keyboard).

Jasper Stone formed out of a Sunday morning worship team about five years ago, and is known for their powerful sound and harmonizing vocals.  In 2012 they had the privilege of opening for Christian artist Jeremy Camp.

In addition to the CD being available on May 21, the music will also be available on iTunes and Amazon music.
