SOUTH BEND, Indiana (August 17, 2016) – A team of athletes at LOGAN known as the LOGAN All-Stars will take on the South Bend Cubs in an exhibition game Tuesday, August 23 at 4 p.m. LOGAN staff and volunteers will be on hand to support the LOGAN team at the game which takes place just prior to the South Bend Cubs matchup against the West Michigan Whitecaps.

The exhibition game is part of LOGAN’s Friends and Family Night at Four Winds Field—an annual outing for clients, family and supporters of the regional non-profit.

“This is a game our All-Stars team really looks forward to,” said Clint Bolser, President and CEO of LOGAN. “We started the LOGAN All-Stars because many of our clients are interested in baseball, particularly South Bend baseball. So we put together a team of athletes and asked our local professional team if they’d be interested in a game. It’s been several years now, and the response is always overwhelmingly positive. It’s become a wonderful tradition and a great community partnership.”

Sponsors of the All-Star game are Mutual of America, Gurley Leep and the South Bend Cubs.

This year, the game coincides with the South Bend Cubs promotion of Two-Dollar Tuesdays. General seating tickets are available to the public for the South Bend Cubs vs. West Michigan Whitecaps game for $2. First pitch is at7:05 p.m.; gates open to the general public at 6 p.m. The gates will open for LOGAN Friends & Family to watch the All-Star game at 3:45 p.m. Media is welcome.
