Miller'sAssisted_MemorialDay2016

Residents of Miller’s Assisted Living celebrated Memorial Day with a cookout followed by an energetic patriotic/rock and roll concert by resident favorite Quentin Flagg. Flagg opened his concert with The National Anthem as residents stood and waved their American flags provided by the Activity Department.

The entire audience joined in singing God Bless America after which Flagg broke into his traditional rock-n-roll. He sang fan favorite hits by Sinatra, Ricky Nelson, Elvis, Bobby Darin, Dean Martin and many more. In the middle of his program Flagg dedicated a song to Don and Betty Baker of Bremen in honor of their 70th anniversary on June 4th.

At 3:00 p.m. Flagg turned the microphone over to Activity Director Cindy Flagg who spoke briefly about Memorial Day and led the audience in a moment of silence in remembrance of those who gave their life that we might experience freedom. Quentin then closed the program with America, the Beautiful as the crowd sang along.
