Old 31 bridge northThe Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will close the Michigan Road Bridge leading into Plymouth, just south of U.S. 6, off of old U.S. 31, starting at 8 in the morning on March 18, and continuing through the beginning of July. Crews will demolish and remove the Michigan Road Bridge and replace it with an “at grade” road.  Access to Plymouth by way of the Michigan Road bridge will be completely closed for the duration of this project.

State road detours must be along state-maintained roadways only. Drivers wishing to travel south on Michigan Road will be detoured east on U.S. 6, south on U.S. 31, and west on U.S. 30. Drivers wishing to travel north on Michigan Road will be detoured east on U.S. 30, north on U.S. 31, and west on U.S. 6.
