Mishler_2013State Sen. Ryan Mishler (R-Bremen) received a score of 100 percent on the “2016 Legislative Vote Analysis” for the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the Indiana Manufacturers Association (IMA).

The Indiana Chamber – which ranks state lawmakers based on their votes for pro-jobs, pro-economy measures – cited Senate Enrolled Act 67 as one of their priorities. SEA 67, co-authored by Mishler, sent over $505 million in local income-tax reserves back to local governments across the state.

Other bills used in the report were selected based on their significant impact to the state’s economic climate and workforce.

The IMA, which advocates for a business climate that creates, protects and promotes quality manufacturing jobs, included Senate Enrolled Act 301 and House Enrolled Act 1001 in their report. SEA 301 aligns workforce education with job demands and HEA 1001, in conjunction with SEA 67, provides $1 billion in new state and local road funding over the next two years.

“These laws help move Indiana forward by strengthening our infrastructure and workforce development,” Mishler said. “I will continue working hard to make our state a great place to live and work.”
