Bail has been set at $100,000 cash for 27 year old Monica Sanders of Goshen.
Sanders was arrested by Marshall County police Tuesday night, May 17th and charged with two counts of Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death for her involvement in the two vehicle crash early Sunday morning, May 15th that resulted in the death of Paul Graham and Jostiana Bouskill.
The incident took place near the intersection of Rose Road and Plymouth LaPorte Trail just before 2 a.m. Sunday. The two vehicles were north bound on Rose Road when the 1999 Dodge Durango, traveling at a high rate of speed read ended the 1997 Honda Civic driven by Paul Graham.
Paperwork from the court stats that Monica Sanders was driving the Durango that slammed into the Honda trapping critically injuring the two 17 year old occupants in the back seat. The driver of the Honda, 24 year old Paul Graham was located by police in the ditch on the west side of Rose Road severely injured and unconscious.
A juvenile, front seat passenger in Graham’s vehicle was able to call 911 and told police the two occupants of the Durango had fled the scene on foot.
County Police Officer Ryan Hollopeter interviewed Monica Sanders on May 16th. She admitted to driving the Dodge Durango at the time of the crash with her boyfriend, Shane Graham, Paul Graham’s brother as a passenger in the vehicle. She also admitted that they had not remained at the scene of the accident.
