Marshall County Police investigated a two vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon involving a motorcycle and Plymouth Police Department squad car.
About 1:30 in the afternoon Officer Derek Workman was traveling north on Walnut Street in his squad car when a motorcycle driven by Michael Simpson of Plymouth collide with the driver’s side door of his squad car.
Witnesses at the scene say Simpson was traveling east on Adams Street on his 2004 Harley Davidson Motorcycle and did not stop at the stop sign. It was noted in the police report that traffic on Walnut Street does not have a stop sign.
Simpson was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a broken leg and other non-life threatening injuries. Officer Workman was not injured in the crash.
