A single vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon just before 3 sent officers from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department to the junction of US 6 and State Road 106.
The driver involved in the property damage accident was 32 year old Melissa Haviland of Nappanee. During the investigation it was determined that she was intoxicated.
Haviland was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a BAC of .15% or higher with a prior charge, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering and Operating a Vehicle with a Controlled Substance.
Melissa Haviland was issued a Superior Court II date of September 20th and a cash bond of $3,000.00.
