Miller’s Assisted Living residents and staff were invited to meet and greet which was hosted by the activity department. Those present enjoyed snacks and beverages while Lorie Sauer of Lakeville introduced herself to the crowd that gathered in the Oak Hill Café. Sauer is the newly hired Resident Service Director at the facility.
Sauer told the group that she is married and has two adult daughters. She is not new to this assisted living environment as she was one of the original Personal Care Attendants at Miller’s Assisted Living when it opened in 2003. She worked as a PCA for several years before she left to further her education at Ivy Tech in South Bend. Upon graduating she worked at the VA Clinic in South Bend. Sauer’s true passion lies with senior care and she is very excited to be back at Miller’s.
