Norfolk and Southern Railroad was in Argos Monday morning. They weren’t just checking on the trains or the tracks in the area but they were there to present the Argos Fire Department with a very important grant.
This grant in the amount of $1,5000 will be used to purchase a Peddle Cutter. The piece of rescue equipment will aid in the extrication process performed by the fire department.
Norfolk and Southern representatives Brian Schultz, Safety Service committee chairman and Derek Sublette, Government Relations Manager for the state Norfolk & Southern presented the check to Argos Fire Chief Mark Dean, along with Doug Middleton and Pete DeVos.
