CrashInvestigation_2County police responded to a single vehicle crash Sunday morning (9/25/16) about 3:20 on 1st Road east of Tamarack Road near Walkerton.

Officer Laffoon, the investigating officer found a 1994 Ford Ranger that had been west bound on 1st Road and drove off the south side of the roadway striking several trees.

The driver, 19 year old Caleb McCormick of North Liberty was still inside the vehicle when emergency responders arrived on the scene. He was transported by Walkerton EMS to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for multiple injuries.

The collision is currently still under investigation and at this time no charges have been filed, but it is believed that alcohol was a factor in the collision.

Officer Laffoon was assisted at the scene by Polk Township Fire and Walkerton EMS responded to the scene.
