Operating While Intoxicated topped the list of reasons why individuals were lodged in the Marshall County Jail in August.
The top ten reasons for bookings into the jail last month were OWI followed by Failure to Appear, Operator Never Licensed, Marijuana and Driving While Suspended. Rounding out the top ten was Probation Violation, Theft, Holds for other counties, Domestic Battery and Public Intoxication.
There were a total of 181 bookings into the Marshall County Jail in August and the average daily population was 144.
County police officers took 95 case reports, wrote 203 citations, investigated 104 property damage accidents and 18 personal injury accidents in August.
