HeartlandArtist_red barnThe Heartland Artists Gallery will be showing art in all media types during their themed ‘Homespun’ Holidays event. The art whether it be pottery, textile, stained glass, quilted, painted or inked, printed, photographed or mixed media … will have a memorable and nostalgic theme to it.

On Saturday, Nov. 12th, from noon until four o’clock a Community Holiday Open House will be held at the Gallery. All are invited to an afternoon of art, fun and refreshment. New art by local and talented artists will be on display for viewing or purchasing. Refreshments will be served and a Father Time door prize will be given away.

The Holiday Gift Shop and Art Supply Store will be open as well. The 6th Annual Heartland Christmas Tree and Evergreen Swag will have their debut. The five foot mixed evergreen tree with a resin decorative base and a two foot pine swag will be raffled off separately. Both will have lights and be decorated with Heartland artists’ art; ornaments typically created in the media for which the artists are known. Ornaments could be pottery, acryclic paintings, textile ornaments, a vast and wide variety of one-of-a-kind ornaments for an original ‘Homespun Holiday’ tree. The color theme this year is primitive country colors; deep blue, deep red, gold and grey. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00 and can be purchased at the Gallery. The raffle drawing for the holiday tree and evergreen swag will take place at the December Open House Saturday, Dec. 3rd at 4:00.
