Centennial Park_front gateThis week the Plymouth Park Board approved a lease agreement with  Verizon to place 4 small cells on wood utility poles in Centennial Park.

Last year during the Blueberry Festival Verizon brought in a mobile antenna truck to provide additional cell phone coverage in the park during the 4 day festival.  The company decided a year-round solution would be a better option.

The lease agreement calls for a one-time payment of $9,487.50 and an annual payment of $6,000.  Verizon will have their equipment metered and pay their own electric bills.  There will be no cost to the park at all.

A representative from Jacob’s Engineering Group, the company handling Verizon improvements told the Park Board the 2 foot antennas will be placed on 2 existing poles and 2 new replacement poles.
