Melissa JohnsonMelissa Johnson, a 19 year old recent graduate of Plymouth High School was involved in a terrible automobile accident on December 16th.  She was airlifted to a Fort Wayne Trauma Center for care suffering from a traumatic brain injury and several broken bones.

A college freshmen at Indiana University South Bend studying Special Education, Melissa also worked part time at the Plymouth Hacienda as a hostess.  Her current condition requires her to have around a clock care and with her family being by her bedside, this is causing financial strain on the family.  Her father is an ER nurse and her mother a Culver community teacher.

To help out the Johnson family, Plymouth Hacienda and the Plymouth High School Band Department are putting on a “Gives Back” fundraiser in Melissa’s honor. Every person that comes in with a Hacienda Gives Back token on February 2nd from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Hacienda will give 20% of that sale to Melissa’s family. That includes dine in, carryout, and gift cards.  You can print out the token from the WTCA Facebook page or stop by the office and pick up one for yourself and maybe one to share.

The Hacienda “Gives Back” event will be February 2nd and is sponsored by the PHS Band.
