The Plymouth Boys Basketball Program will host a tryout for boys in grades 3-4 on Sunday, October 30th at Plymouth High School. The tryout will consist of evaluating the fundamental skills of passing, shooting, and dribbling. There will also be a controlled scrimmage to evaluate players knowledge of the game as well as providing another opportunity to observe skill level and team play.
These teams will participate in the two leagues during the winter. The first league will be held at The Zone Sports Complex league in November and December. The second league will be the Northern Indiana Basketball League and will run during the months of January and February and will be held at area schools and Holy Cross University in South Bend. The cost per players will be dependent on the number of players per team per individual grade level. There will also be a cost for a player uniform and shooting shirt which will be ordered once the teams are determined.
The tryouts times on Sunday, October 30th for each grade include:
4th Grade: 4:30 – 6:00pm
3rd Grade: 6:00 – 7:15pm
Parents and players should enter Door 5 of Plymouth High School on the north side of PHS. Parents are asked to have their son at the gym at least 15 minutes prior to the start time of their session to get registered. A reversible jersey will be provided during registration for players to wear.
