City NEwsThe new tennis courts in Centennial Park now have the additional funding required to complete the initial phase of the project.

Monday evening Clerk Treasurer Jeanine Xaver requested approval to transfer $189,000 from the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund and $165,000 from the Cum Cap Development Fund to the Tennis Court Project Fund.  The Council approved her request.

The Board of Works also approved the request of Fire Chief Rod MIller to offer conditional employment to to candidates; Walt Hanselman and Zack Strbjak.    The also approve the request of Street Superintendent JIm Marquardt to fill a vacant position in his department,.

The Summer Sippin Craft Brew Fest will be held in River Park Square June 25th.  During Monday night’s meeting Tony Gamble requested closure of River Street and East LaPorte Street for the event which is a fundraiser for Freedom Park, the all inclusive playground in Packard Woods.  The board approved his request.
