The PHS Girls were in action at sectionals this weekend, moving up from an 11th place finish last year to 7th this year, more than doubling their point total.
Three divers, Brooke Wagner, Summer Smith and Ally Dolan placed finished 10th, 11th and 15th competing in their first-ever sectional competition!
Our only individual finalist, Jessica Drury, was 7th in the IM and placed 4th in the fly with a lifetime best time and only 2 seconds from first. The 200 free relay team of Leah Smith, McKenzie Scheetz, Stacy Ramos, and Drury moved from 8th to the 7th with a best time of 1:57.47!
In consolation finals Smith scored points coming in 14th in the 50 free. Ramos also was 14th in the fly with a best time of 1:16.53 and Lauren Wiegand moved up to 11th place cw in the breaststroke with a lifetime best time of 1:24.53! And finally our 400 free relay team of Devin Gritton, Emily Cochern, Makayla Ebert and Sydnee Smith all had best times!
