Coming off a second place finish at the Westville Invitational on Saturday the Plymouth JV continued it’s superb play Tuesday night at Bent Oak in Elkhart vs host Concord and visiting Northridge.  Junior Grant Clady fired a season best 41 to lead the JV squad.  The freshmen trio of Chapman Yoder 42, Caleb Gawronski 43, and Bryce Carmichael 45 contributed to a season best 171 for the JV.

Tonight’s 171 was impressive as the back nine at Bent Oak is as tight and hazard laden as any course we will play this year.  The JV easily defeated Northridge and Concord and in the process defeated two of the three Varsity teams!

Varsity
Northridge 164
Plymouth 175
Concord 178

JV
Plymouth 171
Northridge 192
Concord 204
Interesting footnote.  Tonight marked only the third time in 10 seasons we’ve played a nine hole match at Bent Oak.  The two previous nine hole rounds 2009 and 2012 we’re contested on the front nine.  The NLC tournament was held there in 2012.  None of my players had seen the course prior to tonight.
