hit-and-runA Plymouth man was arrested Sunday afternoon for leaving the scene of an accident and operating a vehicle without ever receiving a license.

Sunday afternoon about 4:30 city police were dispatched to the Quick Clean Laundromat at 815 West Jefferson Street in reference to a hit and run.

After speaking to several witnesses and a family member, Officer Jeremy Enyart was able to identify the suspect at 37 year old Isual Granados-Mendoza.  City officers located Mendoza at 1018 West Adams Street and took him into custody.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and held on a $2,250 cash bond.

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
