school newsA Long-standing agreement between the Plymouth Schools and Blueberry Festival officials will continue yet another year. The festival held over the Labor Day weekend each year attractants huge crowds. To accommodate parking for those attending the festival, PCSC allows parking in their lots with various school supported groups to handle the parking.

The Plymouth School Board approved continuing with the same agreement as in previous years.

The agreement stipulates a split of the parking fees among the Blueberry Festival (30 percent of the gross), Plymouth Schools (50 percent), and the Moose Lodge (20 percent). The Moose Lodge provides shuttle service to the park from the parking at Plymouth High School.

Historically, parking has been included approximately 350 students and 150 adult volunteers. The volunteer adults are primarily parents and/or guardians of students and the only ones allowed to handle money.

The arrangement started in the 1980’s.
