MugShot_William ShultzOn Monday, April 18, about 8:00 p.m. Officer Les McFarland attempted to stop a blue Ford Focus in the area of 18 B Road and State Road 331 for expired plates.

The driver refused to stop and fled. The pursuit traveled from Tippecanoe through Rochester to US 31 and Wabash Avenue where the driver wrecked and then fled on foot.

With the assistance of the Fulton County Sheriff`s Department, Rochester Police Department and Indiana State Police, the driver, 24 year old William G. Shultz of Etna Green was taken into custody.

Officers located in the vehicle a substance believed to be marijuana.

William G. Shultz was arrested and transported for a chemical test which he failed.   He was booked into the Marshall County Jail for Possession of Marijuana, under 30 grams, Resisting Law Enforcement by means of a vehicle and Operating While Intoxicated.

The bond for Mr. Shultz is $1,505.00.
