A pretrial conference was held Friday for a man accused of killing a Bremen High School student.
Rubio was not at the conference, but his attorney appeared on his behalf.
Fabian Rubio is charged with murdering 15-year-old Desi Jones in December 2014.
She was home on Christmas break when her partially burned body was found in a wooded area not far from Lake of the Woods.
At the time of her death, police say Rubio lived on the same street as Jones.
Police were able to identify Rubio as a suspect after looking at the last electronic messages Jones had sent.
Another pretrial conference has been set for June 17.
