County Building_2The Marshall County Commissioners will meet Monday morning beginning at 8:30 in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.

Agenda for the meeting includes the County Highway report with Laurie Baker and Jason Peters, Laurie Johnson from DLZ on the Hickory Road Bridge and Personnel Committee recommendations on a part time substance abuse officer for Court Services, Security Officer for the courthouse through the Sheriff’s Department and a discussion of Section 6.10 in the new handbook.

County Treasurer, Penny Lukenbill will discuss extended hours for the May tax collection and Bruce Wakeland will discuss the future management of the Memorial Forrest on State Road 17.  Also on the agenda of the Commissioners meeting will be Pastor Oliver Dongell from the Plymouth Wesleyan Church.  He will seek permission to use the county roads for a 5K Run and Fun Run Walk Race.

Also listed on the agenda is the Congressional Township Fund and appointments to the Community Corrections Advisory Board which include Burke Richeson, Public Defender and Criminal Defense Attorney and Sandy Rivers a Victim Advocate.  They are also expected to appoint Don Fox to the Culver Plan Commission and an appointment to the Lake Maxinkuckee Association.
