DONALDSON, IN – In an action packed game against Lake Michigan College, the Ancilla Chargers were defeated 77-70,Wednesday night. This loss brings the teams record to 16-6 overall and 6-3 in the MCCA Conference.

 

At the end of the first half, Ancilla trailed the Red Hawks, 40-30. At the return from the locker rooms, Ancilla fought to close the gap and pull ahead. But ultimately, Lake Michigan was able to capture the win. The Chargers were led by Tre’Shon Heard who put up 16 points and pulled down five rebounds. Andrew Jones added 10 points for Ancilla and Alex Henn contributed nine.

 

“I must say, I was disappointed in the way we competed,” said Aaron Butcher, head coach for Ancilla. “Lake Michigan did a great job of defending us, and we didn’t respond the way we needed to in order to get the win.”

 

The men’s basketball team will continue their conference action on Wednesday as they take on Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Game time is set for 7:30p.m.
