The Lincoln Junior High 8th grade boys basketball team had an impressive showing in the first round of the NELMSC Tournament on Thursday night defeating Bremen 36-22.  The Red Storm had a staggering 10 steals in the game, Kam Vanlue tallied 4 of them. Lincoln went into halftime with a 19-15 lead and then extended the lead to 29-20 after the third quarter. Joe Barron and Kendall Himes each scored 9 points as Lincoln shot 50 percent from two-point range and 40 percent from three point range. The 8th grade will finish out the season at Huntington Crestview on Saturday where they will play Indian Springs.

 

The Lincoln Red Storm A team played host to the Bremen Lions in first round action of the NELMSC Tournament on Thursday night.  Lincoln came away with an impressive 50-19 victory behind a strong defensive effort.  The Red Storm raced out to a 27-4 halftime advantage, holding the Lions to just 2 points in each of the first two quarters.  Jake Reichard led the way with 14 points.  Ivan Winkle scored 9 points and Daniel Bacon added 8 points for the Red Storm.  Lincoln travels to Crestview Middle School in Huntington to play the host school in the semifinals on Saturday morning.
