The Lincoln Junior High 8th grade boys basketball team traveled to Indian Springs Middle School and used a 17 point first quarter to jump out to an early lead in a 38-21 victory. Jake Reichard scored 20 points, had 7 rebounds, and 4 steals to lead the way for the Red Storm. Other scorers for Lincoln were Ivan Winkle and Drew Harrell with 5 points, Matthew Dobuck with 4, Kyle Johnson with 3, and Graham Barger with 1. The 8th grade is now 5-2 on the year and will host Argos on Wednesday.
The Lincoln 7th Grade Boys Basketball A Team hit the road on Monday night and traveled to Columbia City to face the Indian Springs Eagle Stars. The Red Storm fell to the host Eagle Stars by a score of 45-29. After a rough first half, the Red Storm refused to give up and produced their best offensive half of the season, as both teams finished with 22 points each in the second half. Lincoln was led by Colin Chupp’s 9 points, as their record falls to 3-6 on the season. Lincoln is back in action at home on Wednesday night to face the Argos Dragons.
