This past Saturday, the Plymouth 7th-Grade “B” Team Basketball Program participated in the 2016 Thomas Jefferson Middle School Shootout in Valparaiso.

The boys played in two different games throughout the day. The first contest was against the host school-Thomas Jefferson. Plymouth went out with an early lead in the first quarter and then had to come from behind in the second to eventually tie the game going into half time. After a very hard fought battle in the second half, Plymouth eventually fell by the score of 24-17. Leading the way for Plymouth was Kyle Johnson with 7 points.

The second game was against the other Valpo Middle School, Ben Franklin. Despite being over matched physically, Plymouth played their traditional intense defense throughout the entire game, but were no match for Ben Franklin on this day. Plymouth lost by the score of 46-17.

The 7th-Grade will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to Culver, game time is 5:00pm.
