The Lincoln Junior High 8th grade boys basketball team played host to the Argos Dragons on Wednesday night. Lincoln won 38-19 in a game where 10 Lincoln players scored. Jake Reichard paved the way with 13 points while Ivan Winkle chipped in 6 points. At the end of the first quarter Lincoln was leading 8-5 and then the Red Storm used a big second quarter to go into the half with a 19-8 advantage. Lincoln kept the pressure on after halftime ending the third quarter with a 29-10 lead. The Dragons tried to rally a comeback but were held off in the final frame. The 8th grade is now 6-2 and will continue the season on Thursday by traveling to Warsaw Lakeview.
The Lincoln 7th Grade Boys Basketball A Team traveled to Warsaw to play the Lakeview Tigers on Thursday night and once again showed improvement in the second half but ultimately fell by a score of 43-33. The Red Storm nearly doubled their first half total in the second half and outscored the home team but ultimately could not dig out of their first half hole. David Schadek led the way for Lincoln with 18 points. The Red Storm record now stands at 3-8 on the season.
