The Lincoln Junior High 8th grade boys basketball team opened up their season Tuesday night with a 31-12 victory over Bremen. The Red Storm opened up a lead in the first half, 21-4, while holding Bremen scoreless in the second quarter. Leading the team in scoring were team members Jake Reichard with 13 points and Matthew Dobuck with 10 points. The 8th grade will continue their season by traveling to Tippecanoe Valley on Wednesday night.
The 7th Grade A Team played their home opener on Tuesday night against the Bremen Lions. After scoring only 4 points in the first half, the Red Storm tripled their output in the second half, scoring 12 points, but it wasn’t enough to come away with a victory against the Lions. The Red Storm dropped their home opener by a score of 16-31. Bremen had one player score 23 of their 31 points and Lincoln was led by Colin Chupp’s 9 points. The loss drops their record to 1-2 on the season.
