The Lincoln Junior High 8th grade boys basketball team played host to the Wawasee Warriors on Monday night. The Red Storm fought through adversity to come away with a 38-36 victory.  Jake Reichard led a balanced scoring attack with 14 points, Owen Yoder had 10, Drew Harrell had 6, and Ivan Winkle and Matthew Dobuck each scored 4 points. The “A” team is now 4-1 on the year. 

In the “B” game, Wawasee was just too much for Lincoln who dropped the game 29-26. Matthew Janus scored 9 points, Kaleb Hansen scored 6 points, and Teddy Pratt scored 5 points.  The “B” team is now 1-1 on the season.  The 8th grade travels to Urey to compete against the Falcons on Tuesday night.
The Lincoln 7th grade basketball teams hit the road on Monday night for their first non-tournament away games of the season.  The A Team turned a 3-point halftime deficit into a 9-point win, defeating the host Wawasee Warriors by a score of 31-22.  The Red Storm outscored the home team 18-6 in the second half, only allowing a single basket in the final quarter.  Lincoln was led by Logan Walters with 12 points and Colin Chupp with 10 points.  The win gets the A team to a record of 3-4 on the season.

The B Team lost a tough game, holding the lead for 3 quarters before the Warriors exploded in the 4th quarter, doubling their previous best scoring quarter.  The B Team fell by a score of 20-26.  The Red Storm were led by Matthew Manzuk’s 7 points.  The B team suffered their first loss of the season, dropping to 1-1.
